Have I been going on the treadmill?

The answer is yes- some days. It is hard to get myself motivated, but I have been forcing myself to get on it daily. I have had a couple of days I haven't done it- but for the most part I have done either 30-45-or 60 minutes of walking on the treadmill. I have recorded it on a Word document- but I have to edit it somewhat for blog use.

On the bright side of it-- I feel great physically and mentally. After I am done and sweating like a fiend, I smile. Yay me!

Day one

Adventures in Tread milling
I am using this blog as a way to keep my on track in using and getting the most out of my new treadmill. I should be entering a new times every day or at least every week. I have not done actual exercise for quite some time so I am definitely rusty when it comes to moving my ass and getting fit and losing weight. Later I may write about my weight- but right now I am just going to focus on the exercise.

I got my treadmill yesterday (March 14th, 2008) and it takes up about a fifth of my living room. Even when it is folded up it still dominates the room. I had an excuse of course in not using it yesterday- I had work, I needed to get a mat to place underneath it, I didn’t have ‘clean’ shoes to wear while working, I had a butt pimple that kept chaffing, etc. So now it is Saturday- no work, now I have shoes and the mat, and am on the thing- no, not yet. I did go on it for five minutes yesterday and I know that I have quite a lot of growth to accomplish to feeling fit and healthy. I will use this to monitor my progress. I will enter the date and the time length and/or distance, and my physical and mental reactions. In time I may add more as I get better at it.

March 14th- 5 minutes and 23 seconds- slightly out of breath

March 15th-
@ 3:00 PM walked about 22 minutes- Hella (my cat) sat and stared in amazement that I was actually moving my ass! Now she is resting on it! I’ll have to take a picture. Hopefully she does not think this is her new spot.
-@ 4:20 PM- walked an additional 30 minutes for about 1 and 1/3 miles. It feels good to have my heart beat fast.
